City of Palouse:

05/03:  Theft, 500 Block N. J Street.  Resident had binder chains stolen from vehicle.

05/04:  Criminal Trespass, 400 Block E. Bluff Street.  Resident called to report ex-boyfriend trying to gain access to her house.  Larry W. Lord, of Pullman, was arrested and transported to the Whitman County Jail.

05/05:  Credit Card Fraud.  A resident’s credit card number was stolen while in California, and several fraudulent purchases were made.

05/11:  Suspicious Circumstances, 100 Block W. Houghton.  A resident claimed people broke into his home and beat him up.  The complaint was unfounded.

05/17:  Loose Dog, Houghton and K Streets.  Owner contacted and a verbal warning issued.

05/18:  Suspicious Circumstances, 400 Block E. Whitman.  A resident reported a window screen had been removed and the curtains pushed back.  Nothing was taken.

05/18:  Suspicious Circumstances, Bridge and Houghton streets.  A resident reported banging and yelling coming from a house in the area.  A contractor was hammering down plastic to protect a roof from the rain.

05/23:  Citizen Assist, 100 Block E. Main.  An officer assisted a citizen who had locked herself out of her vehicle.

05/25:  Traffic Offense, SR 27.  A concerned citizen called to report a possible drunk driver.  The vehicle was located and stopped.  The driver passed sobriety tests.

05/30:  Warrant Arrest.  Following a traffic stop, driver Michael E. Fignani, 36, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and transported to jail.

05/31:  Missing Children, 100 Block N. Beach Street.  A resident called to report he could not find his children.  An officer located the kids swimming in the river near the park and released them to the father.
