City of Palouse:
04/02: Parking Problem. EMS personnel reported a vehicle blocking access to the fire station. An officer responded and notified the owner, who removed the vehicle.
04/02: Animal Problem. A driver of a vehicle reported a loose black cow on the roadway near SR 27 and Division Street. The responding officer was unable to locate the animal, but contacted the likely owners and asked them to check their stock.
04/03: Assist WCSO/Traffic Offense. A driver of a vehicle was arrested by a Sheriff’s Deputy for having a suspended license.
04/06: Littering, 300 Block W. Mohr Street. A resident reported that others were throwing garbage and cigarette butts in his yard. An officer contacted the subjects of the complaint.
04/07: Citizen Dispute. A an officer was contacted to help resolve a dispute between two juveniles.
04/08: An officer assisted Emergency Medical personnel with a heart patient that was transported to the hospital.
04/08: Loose Dog, Main and F Streets. A resident reported a brown and white collie-type dog was acting aggressively toward a young girl on the street. An officer contacted the dog’s owner and issued a verbal warning.
04/08: Concealed Pistol License renewal application.
04/11: Juvenile Problem, Harrison Park. A concerned citizen reported that one boy was being bullied by another. An officer contacted the boys, who were brothers engaged in horseplay.
04/13: Loose Dog, F and Whitman Streets. An officer discovered a dog unrestrained. The owner was contacted and a verbal warning issued.
04/16: Concealed Pistol License renewal application.

04/17: Suspicious Vehicle. 700 Block N. J Street. A resident reports a person sitting in a vehicle at night with the lights off. An officer contacted the subject, who had legitimate reasons for being there.
04/18: Traffic Offense. An officer was dispatched to locate a vehicle driven erratically toward Palouse. An officer located the vehicle, and determined the driver was not intoxicated, but very sleepy.
04/23: Traffic Offense. An officer stopped the driver of a motor vehicle for traveling 50 mph in a 25 mph zone. A notice of infraction was issued to the driver.
04/29: Safety Hazard. 500 Block E. Union Street. A refrigerator/freezer located in the front yard was reported unsecured. An officer contacted the residents, who corrected the problem.
Town of Garfield:
04/06: Assist EMS on medical call, 700 Block West Main Street.
04/09: Barking Dog, California and 6th Streets. A resident complained a dog barked inside a resident from 6am to 9am.
04/10: Suspicious Vehicle, Garfield School. The Superintendent reported a suspicious white Ford SUV that repeatedly entered the parking lot, and left after being observed. The responding officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
04/17: Found Property, Garfield Grange. The reporting party discovered several .38 caliber bullets in some donated clothing and turned them over to police.
04/17: ATV Violation, 4th and Adams Streets. An officer contacted the rider of an ATV for riding on the public roadway. A verbal warning was issued.
04/18: Malicious Mischief, Garfield Town Park. Two juveniles spray painted several structures in the park with orange paint. A work party was arranged and the juveniles cleaned up the paint.
04/20: Civil/Citizen Assist, 200 Block West California Street. A business owner asked police to assist in getting a rental DVD back from a patron. The patron was contacted and the DVD was returned.
04/20: Animal Problem, 800 Block N. 3rd. A resident reported a horse closely tied to a tree without food/water for three hours. An officer contacted the owner, who claimed to have been cleaning the horse’s stall.
04/24: Theft, Main and B Streets. A resident reported several chains and chain binders stolen from an unsecured lockbox on a utility trailer. No suspects.
