10/05: Dog at Large, 300 Block E. St. Elmo, owner contacted, VW issued.
10/09: Dog at Large, Refuse Area, UTL.
10/09: Barking Dogs, 700 Block N. K St. Owner contacted, VW issued.
10/14: Parking Problem, 100 Block W. Church St. Cars parking on north side of street, making it difficult for buses to get through. Extra patrol.
10/14: Barking Dogs, 700 Block N. K St. Owner contacted, VW issued, advised infraction would be issued for next offense.
10/16: Aggressive Dogs/Dogs at Large, 200 Block W. Church St. RP complained he was aggressively approached and barked at by two dogs while out for a walk. Owner contacted, VW issued.
10/20: Dog at Large, 400 Block E Houghton, owner contacted, VW issued.
10/21: Animal Noise, 300 Block W. Mohr, RP complained of dog whining for hours at a time, ongoing problem. Officer verified the noise, owner contacted, VW issued, advised of infraction for next offense.
10/22: MVA, Bridge and Almota St. Vehicle slightly struck bridge, no damage to bridge. Vehicle received flat tire.
10/23: Dog at Large, Palouse City Park, RP says his black lab on chain got loose. Unable to locate.
Town of Garfield:
10/02: Attempted Theft, 400 Block N. 2nd, RP found someone attempting to siphon fuel from their vehicle. No suspects or leads.
10/02: Suspicious Circumstance, 200 Block S. 3rd, RP reported someone claiming to represent the DOL asked RP for vehicle information. Caller hung up when RP became suspicious.
10/03: Speeding complaint, Main St, RP stated large tractors driving fast through town. VW issued.
10/10: Malicious Mischief/Malicious Harassment/Intimidation of Witness, 200 Block E. California, 800 Block N. 4th Street, on a tip from an informant, and following investigation, two juveniles were charged with the recent hate crime graffiti, one of which was taken into custody and ordered detained by a Judge pending further evaluation.
10/10: Welfare Check, 300 Block W. Lincoln, RP requested medical aid for her roommate, who she feared would become violent. Roommate evaluated and transported to hospital without incident.
10/11: 911 Hang-up, 100 Block W. Wesley, Whitcom said no answer on call back. Officer contacted resident, who was okay.
10/17: Attempted Burglary, 400 Block N. 2nd, RP reported someone tried to gain access to house. Officer found torn screen and pry marks on kitchen window. No suspects or leads.
10/22: Traffic Complaint, N. 4th Street, RP reports multiple speeding vehicles, especially early morning hours. Extra traffic enforcement.
10/26 through 11/03: Juvenile Problem, Garfield Park, multiple complaints of two specific juveniles getting in fights. After 3rd complaint, parents of each child were advised CPS would be contacted if this became a continual problem.
10/29: Welfare Check, 500 Block N. 4th, RP states she was concerned for son’s safety following an argument with ex-husband. Requested officer respond to check on son. Complaint unfounded.
