ORDINANCE NO.  780

 

            AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PALOUSE, WASHINGTON, amending Ordinance No. 664, Sections 1 and 2, and Palouse Municipal Code Section 13.40.010, thereby establishing new rates for City sewer services.  

 

            Whereas, the City Council for the City of Palouse has deemed it reasonable and necessary to increase the monthly rates charged for City sewer service, now, therefore,

 

            BE IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Palouse as follows:

 

            Section 1.   Palouse Ordinance No. 664, Section 1, and Palouse Municipal Code Section 13.40.010 are hereby amended to read as follows:

 

"Section 13.40.010 Designated.   The following rates and charges are fixed for sewage service and shall be paid therefor:

            A.  Each church and single-family residence, $16.00 per month;

            B.  Each duplex containing two-family residential units, $32.00 per month;

            C.  Each apartment house or building containing more than two family residential units, $16.00 per month plus $16.00 per month for each additional apartment in excess of one initial unit;

            D.  Palouse elementary and high school shall pay as per the following formula:  (School Pop. / 5) / Avg. Household Pop. X sewer rate.  Where school population equals total number of full time and part time students and staff; average household population equals average persons per household form latest census; and sewer rate equals Palouse single-family residence rate."

 

            Section 2.   This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after January 1, 2003.
