2003 National Night Out Against Crime

Palouse City Park
August 5, 2003

The City of Palouse takes part in the National Night Out Against Crime every year on the first Tuesday in August. The weather this year was perfect, and much of the town turned out for the event. Police Chief Randy Zehm was on hand with his camera to capture some great moments.

Annie Pillers manned the recruiting booth for Palouse Emergency Medical Services. Looks like she had a couple of interested prospects in the Wilcomb boys.

Just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful Palouse evening over some delicious Lions burgers.

The Palouse Fire Department put together a great Fireman's Challenge for the National Night Out. These boys had a great time and put a lot of effort into the challenge.

The girls got a chance to show their skills in the Palouse Fire Department's Fireman's Challenge.

The Palouse band provided live entertainment for the crowd.

Ari Myers, daughter of Sheriff Brett Myers, met a friendly Search and Rescue dog being displayed by members of the Palouse-Clearwater Search and Rescue team.

Dale Schoefplin flew his helicopter in for the National Night Out gathering. It was especially nice to see him this year, since the MedStar copter was called away for a medical run.

Ken, James and Jesse Quimby posed in front of Dale Schoefplin's helicopter.

The kids found all kinds of ways to have fun at the National Night Out.

"I thought YOU brought the basketball!..."

Linda Snook, Paula Echanove, Jeff Snook, Bev Pearce and Greg Pearce all helped out with the National Night Out Free Throw Contest.
